Uttarakhand Power Corporation Ltd (UPCL), formerly Uttaranchal Power Corporation Ltd was incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956 on February 12, 2001 consequent upon the formation of the State of Uttarachal. This Government of Uttaranchal undertaking is engaged in the business of distribution of electricity in the State of Uttarakhand and invites application from eligible candidates for the recruitment of Engineers across various domains.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:

• Assistant Engineer Trainee (E & M): BE (Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechanical) or AMIE in Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechanical Engineering
• Assistant Engineer Trainee (Civil): BE (Civil) or AMIE in Civil Engineering
• Junior Engineer Trainee (E & M): three years Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering
• Junior Engineer Trainee (Civil): three years Diploma in Civil Engineering

Age Limit (as on 1 July 2011): Minimum 18 years, Maximum 35 years
Pay Scale

• Assistant Engineer Trainee: Rs 15600- 39100; Grade Pay Rs 5400
• Junior Engineer Trainee: Rs 15600- 39100; Grade Pay Rs 4200

Application Fee: Application fee for General and OBC category candidates is Rs 400 and fee for SC and ST category candidates of Uttarakhand is Rs 200. The fee needs to be paid in the form of Demand Draft drawn on any Scheduled bank of India in favour of EE (HQ), UPCL.
Selection Procedure: The candidates will be selected on basis of Written Test (88 marks) and Interview (12 marks).
