Survey of India, The National Survey and Mapping Organization of the country under the Department of Science & Technology, was set up in 1767 and is the oldest scientific department of the Government of India. It invites application from eligible candidates for the post of Topo Trainee Type ‘A' in Geo-spatial Data Centres/ Offices situated at different locations.

Important Dates
Educational Qualification: B.Sc. with Mathematics from a recognized University (45% for General Category and 40% for SC/ ST/ OBC) along with a good stereoscopic vision.
Age Limit (as on 1 March 2012): Minimum 18 years; Maximum 27 years
Pay Scale: Rs 5200- 20200; Grade Pay Rs 1900 in the training period (2 years) and will be posted in pay scale Rs 9300- 34800; Grade Pay Rs 4200 after successful completion of training.
Selection Procedure: The selection process will comprise of the written test followed by Interview of meritorious candidates.
